About Hard Drives

 Hard drives are the memory unit of of the PC. They store all the information of your PC.

They can be mainly classified into three types-

• HDD
• SSD
• SSHD

1. HDD-HDD or Hard Disk Drives are the most common type of drives you can find. These mainly contain A spinning disk in which the data is stored . they are like an optical drive. they are comparatively slow and worn out faster than the other drives as they have movable parts. their speed is calculated by RPM(Rotation Per Minute).There advantages are that they are cost-efficient and have storage facility up to 12 TB for consumers (12000 GB)
2. SSD- SSD or Solid State Drives are the fastest type of Drives. They are static and do not have any moving parts. this means that they have a higher lifespan. There speed is measured in MB/s. They, However, are not cost-efficient and have storage up to 6 TB which too, will be out of budget for several users
3. SSHD- SSHD or solid state hybrid Drive are a hybrid of SSD and HDD. They Have large capacities, are cost-efficient like HDDs and have fast speeds like an SSDs

Most hardcore gamers and heavy software users would recommend an SSD as it is fast and produces no sound. However ,If you need your PC only for streaming and online meetings, an HDD of 7200 RPM will be my choice as it is in a normal household  budget..Nowadays, SSDs and SSHDs are replacing HDDs at a fast pace.
